Professional Drilling Management

This is an introductory course on how to professionally manage water well drilling projects and programmes. It will equip participants with knowledge on: groundwater information, siting, costing and pricing, procurement and contract management, borehole drilling and supervision and how professional water well drilling is affected by the wider legal and institutional environment.

Integrity Basics: Understanding Corruption in Water and Sanitation

This online self-paced course revisits the main principles and concepts of water integrity, as an essential component for good water governance and sustainable water and sanitation services.

An Introduction to Groundwater Management for the Caribbean From the 25th – 27th April 2022, the Caribbean WaterNet/Cap-Net UNDP hosted the virtual Introduction to Groundwater Management for the Caribbean Training Workshop as the inaugural programme of the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA) Research and Education Foundation (ReEF). This was facilitated in collaboration with partners from CWWA, the University of the West Indies, Faculty of Food and Agriculture (FFA), and the Centre for Resource Management and Environmental Studies (CERMES).	Climate Resilience & IWRM On the 19th-21st March 2021, the Caribbean WaterNet/CapNet-UNDP hosted the virtual Climate Resilience and Integrated Water Resources Management: Focus on Caribbean Youth Training as part of the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean Water Academy for Youth (GWP-C WAY).	Integrated Water Resources & Coastal Symposium 2021 On 17-19 March 2021, the Caribbean WaterNet/CapNet-UNDP participated in the Integrated Water Resources and Coastal Symposium 2021 (IWRCS) held at the Radisson Hotel, Port of Spain, Trinidad.
Integrated Flood Risk Mitigation & Management Workshop The United National Office for Disaster Risk Reduction has indicated that 90% of natural disasters are water-related. By 2050, rising populations in flood prone lands, climate change, deforestation, loss of wetlands and rising sea levels are expected to increase the number of people vulnerable to flood disaster to approximately two billion.	Groundwater Management Training Bahamas On 19-21 February, the Caribbean WaterNet/CapNet-UNDP hosted a Training of Trainers (TOT) Workshop on Groundwater Management and Integrated Water Resource Management.	Drought Risk Reduction Training St. Kitts & Nevis Between the 5th to 7th June 2019 the Training of Trainers Workshop on Drought Risk Reduction was held in Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis by the Caribbean waternet /Cap-Net UNDP, Global Water Partnership Caribbean (GWP-C) and the Business Development Unit, Faculty of Food and Agriculture, University of the West Indies, St Augustine Campus (BDU-FFA-UWI).
Hydro-Climatic Disasters & IWRM On 24-26 February, the Caribbean WaterNet/CapNet-UNDP hosted a Training of Trainers (TOT) Workshop on Hydro-Climatic Disasters and Integrated Water Resource Management in Nassau, Bahamas.	Drought Risk Management St. Vincent & the Grenadines The Drought Risk Management Training workshop in St Vincent and the Grenadines was developed by a joint effort among the Caribbean WaterNet /CapNet UNDP, Global Water Partnership Caribbean (GWP-C) and the Business Development Unit, Faculty of Food and Agriculture, University of the West Indies, St Augustine Campus (BDU-FFA-UWI) with the purpose of building capacity as it pertains to water resource management in the Caribbean region.	Adopt a River 3rd Annual River Conference On 6 March 2020 the Caribbean WaterNet/Cap-Net UNDP participated in the Adopt A River Programme Implementation Unit (AARPIU), which falls under the purview of the Water Resources Agency/WASA, hosted its 3rd Annual River Conference in Trinidad and Tobago, under the theme ‘Connecting the dots….Mentoring towards sustainability’.
Panel Discussion on Water Resource Management In commemoration of World Water Day 2019 a panel discussion on Water Resource Management in Trinidad and Tobago, with special focus on the agricultural sector, was organized in collaboration with Caribbean WaterNet, CapNet UNDP and the Caribbean Academy of Sciences.
